From your home page, the first tab along the top of options is "search." When you click on search, you will have the option to conduct 5 different types of searches. Below is a list of what they are and how to use them:
1. quick search - this is where you would conduct business to business searches. You can search by country or select all countries, then you have the options to look at business profiles or yellow pages, and then you can click or unclick profiles with/without photos and with/without text descriptions. Because it does not refine to a narrow enough search, you are going to get a lot of profiles coming back to you.
2. username search - this feature is perfect for looking up a specific person. If you know the username of the person you are trying to find, this will bring you right to their profile page. In some cases, it will also bring up profiles of people with very similar usernames. Just scroll down the short list to find the one you are looking for. You can search by business or by yellow pages.
3. networking search - when you are looking to find people from your geographical area, in the same company as you, people who have joined in the last 24 hours, people in certain occupations, or business topics or business interests, then this is the search you will want to conduct. You can search by zip code, country, key word, postal code, with/without photo, with/without text descriptions, and more. You can also save your searches here so that you can go back to them at a later time. I personally use this feature to find people who have joined in the last 24 hours. When I come here, I uncheck search by photo and search by text, click on search within the last 24 hours, and search 50 records per page. I leave everything else the same. Once the profile comes up, I click on "add me to contacts" for each one. I do this every night and after 3.5 years, have over 40,000 contacts. I do this because it gives me a constant flow of new people to network with and promote my business to, over time. I also continue to get emails daily as a way to connect with others.
4. yellow pages - this is the same search feature as the networking search tab. The only difference is that this one searches for yellow pages profiles.
5. events - lists the daily events including our Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday company calls, local meetings that are taking place pertaining to myNetworkingPro, AND events that people have added. These events can include live meetings, launches, overview calls, etc.
There is one more search feature that I did not list here. It can be found right on your home page. Just below your picture, there is a little gray box that reads "enter zip". Here you can enter a zip code and find all the people near you by business profile or yellow pages. This is a quick search, but an easy search option.
