If you have spent any amount of time on your home page, you have noticed that it is packed with a lot of links. However, in order to not completely overwhelm yourself, there are just a few things on the menu that you need to know and the rest will come over time. Some of those things we already covered. I am going to break things down on what you can find on this page.
Breakdown of the top part of your home page.
FEATURED ADS - these are ads from other Executive IRs on myNetworkingPro
MENU TABS - this will help you navigate around YOUR personal site
SEARCH - allow you to search within myNetworkingPro
SECOND MENU BAR - this is where you access your back office, training, and customer care
Left side of page:
WELCOME - this is where you will see your picture and all your edit features to the right of your picture.
SEARCH - allows you to search for people in MNP by zip code
MAIL AND CONTACTS - allows you to access your personal mail box, keep track of all the people that have responded to your live feeds, daily feed notices which is just the live feeds which you will find in the middle anyway, contacts approval is for anyone that might want to connect with you that you have to approve first, chat approvals is for the ability to live chat with others, favorites is where you can have easy access to your favorite people at your fingertips, contacts lists all the people who you have befriended, people on chat is the list of people you have approved to chat with you in total, today's events just list the events of the day.
ACCOUNT SETTINGS - this is where you manage your account, invite friends from the outside to join MNP, invite contacts using your contact list manager, and you also have the option to report abuse if you find someone using the system the wrong way.
DAILY ACTIVITIES - this is the fun stuff section that includes headline news around the world, MNP news, your daily horoscope, comics, games, and even business resources on the web.
WEATHER - shows you the daily weather in your area.
Middle section:
MY FEED REPLIES - This is the live feed section. You can post live messages to the entire community, your personal contacts, your favorites, or just to people on chat. Once you post a message in the box, click just above where is says share and you will have access to the different options for sharing your message. You can also add links, photos, videos, and HTML code. This is the MEAT of MNP and where the power really is with this system and why is rivals Facebook.
COMMENTS ON MY PROFILE - this is where you will find personal greetings from others sent directly just to you in a cute picture format. It was already discussed previously how you can send a message like these to others in the community.
Last column heading down the right side of the page
WEEKLY PRIZE WINNER - this is the person that won profile of the week. Their picture will be in that spot for one week and they will earn $100. You can win this just by being active on myNetworkingPro. Their picture will also be listed on the main myNetworkingPro web site.
PERSON OF THE DAY and BUSINESS OF THE DAY - one person for each from the myNetworkingPro community wins these each day and their picture will be in that spot for 24 hours. Anyone can win this.
PROFILE OF THE MONTH - this person will have their picture in this spot for a full month and also will win $100. You can win this by being voted on by other members. You can personally vote for other members by clicking on the tab on their personal profile page that says "vote me". Their picture will also be posted on the main myNetworkingPro web site.
MONEY MAKERS - will always list someone in MNP who is currently making money on myNetworkingPro. If you have made any money on the site, even one check, you might end up in this spot.
And, that is pretty much a breakdown of what you can find on your home page. I hope that I have not completely overwhelmed you. Take it one step at a time. There is a lot there and you are not going to be expected to know it overnight. Once you have it down, most likely myNetworkingPro will add something new. I have seen this site change quite a bit since when I first started in May 2006. It only keeps getting better and better.
